Each of our Signature Bowls is individually crafted by Caroline, inspired by the landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales. Rather than imposing a fixed design, she allows each piece to take shape naturally, guided by the clay itself. The final colours emerge from the bowl’s unique form and texture, with a touch of unpredictability from the kiln adding to the magic.
Our breakfast collection began modestly with a small Toast Plate — a fun, quirky design created to brighten mornings. It quickly evolved into a larger Toast Plate, and from there Caroline’s creativity took off. Soon she introduced her distinctive Crumpet Plate, perfectly designed to hold a stack of crumpets. Not long after, the range expanded to include her unique Bagel Plate and Sourdough Toast Plate. Today, Caroline takes pride in regularly creating pieces that offer something just a little bit different
These distinctive, one-of-a-kind vases were created in mid-2025, during a period when Caroline was emerging from a deeply personal journey of self-discovery. Each movement of the clay, though it appeared to stretch or strain it, ultimately made it stronger. Where the clay tore or seemed imperfect, she recognised a reflection of her own challenges — moments that were, in fact, strengthening her resilience.
As a result, every vase is entirely unique and holds its own individual significance. This is the inspiration behind the name “The Strength of the Woman.”
